FRIEND SHIP

Friend  ship     is  one  of  the  most   valuable   gifts  of  natur.    human   beings  and  animals  alike  make  friends   with   others.    being  able   to  make   friends   is  a   divine  power.  to  make  friends   with   other  one  should   be  humble,  polite,  true  and  understanding.    friends    are  of  many   varieties   such  as  friends  of  fun,friend    of  play,   friend  of   affection   and   friend’s   finds  life   intersting.  he  can   face   any  problem  in  life   without   complaining.   he  because  a  men   content.  there  are   enemies  who   come  in  disquise  as  friends  too   one  must  have  to   be   intelligent   enough   to  be   able  to  distinguish   beetween   real   friend   and  false  friends  otherwise  is  better  to  be   alone  than   making   friends    with  an  unsuitabe   person.

MY PARENTS

               Our   parents  love  to  us.   always    They   think   about    our    sake.  parents   like  to  our   good   works.    they  teach   to    us.  they   teach   good   and  bad    thing   to  us.  they   protect   us.   parents    hope  is   us   we   obedient   to   parents.   we  look  after   them.   one   day,   we  feed  them   and    we  are   love  to  our  parents.

CASPIAN TERN

                 The    caspian   tern   is  the   largest   bird   of    the   tern   family,    in  sri  lanka.   it   lives    mostly    in    and    around    the   sandy   islands    in  the   adam’s   bridge     area   between   mannar   and   rameshwaram.    it  is   also    occasionally    spotted  in  the  wet   zone.    the  caspian    tern   can  be  easily   identified   by  its   red   beak.    these   birds   frequently   flock    in   small   groups    around    lagoons  and   river   mouths   in  the   regions   mentioned   above.  it   seeks   out   little   hollows   on   sand   banks   to   lay   its   eggs .  which   are   speckied   in   shades   of   grey   and   dark   brown .   it   lays    between    1-3   eggs   at  a  time.    the   caspian   tern   is   one   of   the    most   beautiful     birds    in   the   tern   family.

GIRAFFE

                                    The    giraffe   is   the  tallest    animal    in    the  animal    kingdom.     it  is  also    the   only   animal  that      is  incapable    of   making    any    sound.    both   the  male   and   female   have  a   small   set   of   horns    on   their   heads.    the  giraffe’s    preferred   habitat    is  among   tall    trees   on  the   open    savannahs.    when   the   giraffe  needs   to    drink   water,  its  long   neck  is  a    hindrance.   t o  overcome   this,    the     giraffe   need  to   drink    water,   its    long   neck    is  a  hindrance.  to   overcome  this,    the   giraffe   stands   at  the  water’s   edge   with   its  legs  set   wide   spart   and  bends   over  to  drink.   giraffes  used  to  live  in  herds  but   because    of  the    destruction    of   their   natural    habitat,   they  have   got   used    to   leading   solitary    lives.   griffes    produce    one   calf   at  a  time.  these    animals  can  run   as  fast   as  30km    per   hour.                 

DUNHINDA FALL

                  Originating   from    the   Badulu   oya,    Dunhinda   falls   stands    63   meters   in   height   enhancing   the  beauty   and   allure   of   the  Badulla   area.    A   unique   creation    of   nature,    dunhinda    falls   and    it’s   surrounding    have   been   used   by    ancient    kings   and  chieftains   as  a   hideout   to    strengthen   their   defences     during    times  of    war.   according    to   legend,  in  the  rock  pool   at  the   bottom    of  the    falls,    there    lives  a   fish   that   wears   a  gold    earring.    Because    of  the   force  with   which   it  cascades,   this  waterfall  cloaks     its  surroundings   in   “Dun”   which   means    thick   mist   and  it  is   from  this  that   it   derives   its   bame.    With  the   misty  spray  and  various    birdcalls   from   its   surroundings,   the  sight  of   dunhinda  falls,   when   viewed  from   its   “lookout  point”,   is  a  breathtaking   experience. 

LION

 The  lion  is  the  strongest    of  the   big   cat  family.    ages   ago,     Lions  lived    in   places    like    Europe    and   the   middle    east   but   thousands    of  them     were   hunted    down   and    today    Lions    can   only   be    found   in    africa   and   India.    Lions   live  in   small   groups      called     prides   and   rather   than    dense    forest,    they   prefer    to  live  in  open   grasslands   and   savannahs.   for   food,    they    hunt   animals   like   deer,   sambur   and    zebras.   lions  are   skilled   hunters,   and  as   they   have   very    big   appetites,   they    tend   to   walk   over    8km   a   day   in   search  of   prey.   The   male  is  much   bigger   than   the    female,   which   is    known   as  a  lioness.   the   male   develops   a   ring   of    bushy  hair   around   his   head    and   neck.   this    is   called    a  mane.   Lionesses    produce  2-3   cubs   at  a  time   and  are  keener  on   hunting  than  the  males.   these  majestic    cats   live   up   to   about  20-25    years.
